US 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) Dice Set

The first Cav was created as horse borne infantry in 1921, and served with distinction in World War II, and Korea. In early 1960 the US Army conducted air mobility and tactical applications of using the helicopter to directly transport, and assist ground troops in close air support. Expanding on their role from Korea of ferrying wounded, and conduction search and rescue operations. On July 3rd, 1965 the Test units designations were retired, and the 1stCav was  redesignated as the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) they were deployed to Vietnam on July 29th.
